€10,000 Scratch Card Winner Tries To Eat His Prize

Next time you go on vacation, don't forget to buy your lottery scratch offs! Lady luck travels my friends just remember not to eat your winnings. While traveling from Krakow in Poland to East Midlands Airport an unnamed man reportedly won €10,000 on a scratch card. Flight attendants confirmed he did in fact have a winning ticket but that he would have to collect his winnings directly from the company that sponsored the lottery.

Simply put, there was not enough cash on board the airplane to fulfill the €10,000 obligation. Rather than sit tight, enjoy the flight and bask in the glory of being €10,000 richer, the man got progressively more frustrated with not being immediately able to get his hands on the cash. To the surprise of the crew in attendance the man opened his mouth put the lottery ticket in and began eating! Flight attendants offered the man gourmet sandwiches, pizza slices and a variety of snacks to prevent his ingestion of the winning scratch off all to no avail. Stephen McNamara, a spokesman for the airline, said: "Passengers have always been delighted to claim their large cash prizes after returning home. Unfortunately our latest winner felt that we should have his €10,000 prize kicking around on the aircraft." Nothing like an expensive lunch to kick off your vacation in style!
